WORKSHOP TO DEFINE EDUCATIONAL NEEDS OF WSO MEMBERSHIP: HOW CAN WSO BEST OFFER EDUCATION IN STROKE MEDICINE WORLDWIDE?*

With emphasis on educational needs in low-and middle-income countries, the workshop will:
- Review WSO education and training activities, including WSA content
- Identify priority topics for educational material
- Discuss and define how WSO might best deliver stroke education in areas of greatest need
A publication in IJS to set out workshop findings and propose an action plan.
Open registration aims to ensure people representing an appropriate balance of age/gender/geographical region/language/low-and middle-income countries will ensure the workshop encompasses all relevant stakeholders. Representatives from WSO Education Committee; World Stroke Academy; International Journal of Stroke will also be present.
15.15-15.25 Welcome and introduction to the aims of the workshop
15.25-15.30 Break into small groups
15.30-16.30 Small group working. Each group works on the three questions below for 20 minutes for each question; a rapporteur for the group summarises key points on a flip chart, which are then collated at the feedback session.

- Review of Educational activities offered by WSO & WSA – do they meet your needs?
- Develop ideas on what WSO/WSA could offer in your region to meet those needs
